What is the Right Ascension and Declination?
The Right Ascension and Declination numbers seen on your certificate are the coordinates where your star is located in the sky. They are similar to the Longitude and Latitude coordinates we have to locate places on Earth and can be used by astronomers and stargazers to find stars, planets, moons and other celestial objects in the night sky. The Right Ascension determines how far East or West your star is in relation to Earth, while the Declination determines how far North or South it is.
